Presenting a tapestry of Celtic music from the 17th thru 21st centuries.

Soul Weaving presents music from the old Celtic social order through the ancient traditions of the harp, bagpipes and song along with some of the music popular only through the past century or two.  Added to this is a rich trove of original music mined from the same vein, but refined according to contemporary musical aesthetics.

The group tends to emphasize the slower, more stately elements of the Celtic musical repertoire: more slow aires, marches, hornpipes and haunting Gaelic songs before the high energy tunes come rolling out...unless we're playing for a dance, of course!

The band is comprised of three experienced musicians who delight in exploring the creative magic within the music using fiddle, concertina, voice (Jonathan Goodwin), guitar (Ehlert Lassen) & cello (Stephen Evans).

The band’s name came about when (before we had decided on a name) we were playing in Sausalito day one and a woman who had been listening intently came up to us and said, “You guys are soul weaving.”  And so we are!
